The Omnix ERP General Ledger maintains a complete financial record for a company and, together with enterprise-wide financial reporting, effectively manages the accounting requirements of the business.

Omnix ERP General Ledger module
  • interfaces with the Omnix ERP Creditors, Debtors, Cash Book, Stock Control, Fixed Assets and Production Control modules
  • processes all transactions posted to each General Ledger for the current financial year and future postings for up to 12 months
  • interfaces in summary but has the facility to drill down to actual transaction and document
  • has a free form account code structure for up to 14 alphanumerical characters
  • can store unlimited accounts in the General Ledger master file
  • caters for multi-company General Ledgers with different year ends and month ends per company
  • maintains standard journals until they are no longer required. These standard journals are automatically posted to the General Ledger each month
  • provides extensive budgeting facilities. The system maintains this year’s budget, a revised budget for this year and next year’s budget. Next year’s budget automatically becomes the current year’s budget at year end
  • numbered audit trails of all postings
  • can generate customised income statements, balance sheets and other management reports. The Report-Writer can generate a financial model report or dump a financial model to a file that can be exported to a financial modeling package, for example Lotus 123, Quattro Pro or MS Excel
  • can upload General Ledger budgets from MS Excel
  • can reallocate transactions from one account to another without doing a batch posting
  • provides consolidated branch and company reporting
  • caters for full multi-currency
  • provides the option to upload payroll details from select third party payroll systems
  • completes automatic inter-company loan account transactions for entries made between companies
  • automatically reverses accruals posted within the current financial year at month end
