Omnix ERP Bill of Materials
The Omnix ERP Bill of Materials module is used to maintain a bill of materials for each code in the Stock Master.
A bill of materials consists of the cost components required to assemble or manufacture a product stock item.

the taking on of numerous multi-level bills

- has a re-sequence option which re-sequences
a complete Bill of Materials or a selected range of
entries within the Bill of Materials. Re-sequencing
may be necessary after inserting new lines into an
existing Bill of Materials
- can perform bulk changes and amendments of
numerous bills of material - for example, load,
amend or delete the Bill of Materials for a range of
product groups
- has an integrity check which ensures that a bill of
materials is not duplicated in a lower level
- can identify available balance for a specific
component
- has a reporting capability which includes a report
listing the finished stock items that use specified
components and the number of components
required for each finished stock item
- can calculate and analyse the variance between
expected and actual quantities, costs, timeframes,
material and machine usage
- has a back flush which provides for overhead
provision in the General Ledger when a job is
completed
